We arrived about 3:30 and there was one paraglider and one hang-glider in the air. It looked pretty optimistic! We parked on the hill on the opposite side of the expressway to the roadside stop as the road leaves Lake George.
There were a few hang glider pilots at launch and they advised us to avoid flying to close to the house next to launch as they did not like pilots (understandably). It was quite strong but the wind was straight up the slop at launch. I launched first at 3:59 and Andrew took off a few minutes later. He was adjusting his speed system with his old wing and new pod harness. We crossed the highway and fled South and did some soaring where "Johno" the local paraglider was flying.
After about half an hour I crossed the highway and flew north along the ridge.

There was a large wedge tailed eagle which obviously didn't like me invading his territory. He attacked my wing quite a number of times.

He was pretty keen and attacked quite a few times.

I continued north and he left me alone but when Andrew passed that same area he also attacked his wing.
We flew up past two rest stops and again on the way back the eagle had another go at my wing.

It was a great flight and we finally landed on the Southern side of the highway above the rest-area about 5:30pm

me coming in to land and then just after landing. Note ski gear as on way to snow and it was cold.
